The Defender's Wiki - Rushers' tactics and how to counter them
Rushers have a few truly funny tactics with which they think they can outsmart the superior defenders

Boating/minecarting
I know it's hard to imagine, but rushers utilize boats to aid them in rushing. They probably don't know what boats are actually used for, so they had to find their own usage for this item. Namely, they use boats to avoid defenders and just "teleport" around our walls, because they're so bad at the game and they can't stand a fair fight. They also use the boats to "teleport" themselves back onto ground after they've been knocked off, this is known as "boat clutching"
Minecarting is a bit harder to perform than boating. It's pretty useless if I were to be honest, but it allows them to get past the wall from the level of the bedrock wall. The process of minecarting includes: getting close to the wall, blocking-in, sneaking on the edge of the map, placing rails on the backpit side, putting a minecart there and boom they've bypassed our main wall
Ways to counter: -
Blocking-in
This strategy is basically covering yourself with blocks, so the defenders can't attack nor see you. Rushers often perform this strat when they're in front of your wall, so they can peacefully mine through it

Jitter bridging
Jitter bridging is a common staircase bridging technique that's characterized by jumping backwards without sneaking, but strafing left and right to gain a bit more time to place the block underneath yourself

Sky rushing
Sky rushing is a funny strategy that abuses highground. It is just bridging to your woolroom on the build limit level
Ways to counter: -
Blocking/watering your staircase
Rushers are very annoying beings, so they may attempt to grief your stairs by placing blocks or water on them, because irritating people apparently brings them a lot fun
Ways to counter:- Build proper stairs
- Repair them if needed
- Grief their stairs back
