The Defender's Wiki - Snipers' nests
Snipers' nests are a fundamental part of front walls. If you build a
front wall without it, then you're doing it wrong. Without a snipers' nest games are prone to end very quickly,
because snipers are the guardian angels of woolrooms - they're the last defenders the rushers will have to get
past. They not only snipe the rushers who get close to the wall, but also shoot people who are sky rushing, which
is by far the most effective rushing method
Where/how to build a snipers' nest -
- Snipers' nests are located on top of front walls
- You should start building your nest 3-4 blocks below the build limit, but it depends on the nest design you want to use, all nests' designs in this wiki have their height mentioned
- Good nests should be built in a way that makes it impossible for sky rushers, or any rushers in general, to shoot the snipers or at least in a way that reduces such possibility
- Good nests should also have a way to jump/drop on the rushers when they're too close or when they managed to
get into the backpit
- Not all nest designs in this wiki follow these 2 rules, hence you shouldn't use them. They're here for documentation purposes and to showcase what you SHOULDN'T do
- Nests should be comfy and cozy and you should always feel safe in your nest :D

Types of nests -
People sometimes can get really creative when designing a snipers' nest, but creativity is not the most important
part of this, its functionality is what matters the most
NOT all nests in this section follow the best practices.

Nest design #1
I used to use the nest design that I believe Imdad or SoninhoBr has showed me a long time ago, but it wasn't perfect, in fact, it was far from perfect, so I've upgraded it and that's what it is right now

Resources needed: Slabs, stairs, iron bars, fence gates, chests, trapdoors, some building blocks

Nest design #2
This is the design I talked about in the previous design's description. It looks cool and pretty minimal, but is not that good

Height: 3 blocks

Nest design #3
The classic and the worst design; don't use this, please

Nest design #4
An upgraded version of the previous design. The only difference is that there are blocks you can hide behind when you get shot at. If you really don't want to make anything more advanced use this instead of the previous one
