This page contains all terms used within the wiki that may be not clear for new players
Front wall - a wall built by the defenders usually on top of a bedrock wall, that's a part of the map. Front wall is the first wall the rushers have to face (excluding "Additional walls"). Also commonly referred to by most players as just "wall" or less commonly as "main wall"
Back wall - a wall built by the defenders usually on top of a bedrock wall, that's a part of the map. Back wall is the last wall the rushers have to face (directly in front of woolroom)
Front pit - the area in front of the front wall. It is referred to as pit, because ideally the defenders should mine all blocks possible, leaving only the bedrock base of the map there
Back pit - the area behind the front wall and in front of the back wall (if there is one). It is referred to as pit, because ideally the defenders should mine all blocks possible, leaving only the bedrock base of the map there
Additional walls - walls which are not that important, but may be a good addition to the defence when the game starts to get longer and when there's increased rushers' pressure, e.g. fence gate wall
DoD - Department of Defense, a Discord server for defending enthusiasts (or rushern spies) founded by Artdamension, then owned by Just_, then Kiing and currently by BrettOgden. It is dead tho, since the admins don't care about it
Wall insides - the blocks between the first and last wall column
Pickaxe materials - defending materials that are supposed to be mined with a pickaxe

* Buttons are usually broken using water, but on maps without iron to craft buckets or without water sources, they have to be mined with a pickaxe
** Filled cauldrons breaking time has been changed in 1.17, below this version it takes the same time to break as a regular cauldron

Dropable wall - a wall designed in a way that allows the snipers to drop/jump on rushers who get inside of the wall in order to melee kill them
Snipers' nest - a cozy (not always) place on top of front walls which allows defenders (snipers) to shoot/snipe rushers who get near the wall or who are sky rushing
